Lanella Murray

 

Lanella A. Murray, age 94 of Marion, went to be with her Lord on Tuesday, August 23, 2022 at Presidential Center in Marion, Ohio.

Lanella was born on July 25, 1928 to the late Clarence and Estella (Kendall) Marshall in Owosso, MI.  On April 6, 1977, she married the late Billy J. Murray.

Lanella belonged to the Heritage Bible Church in Marion, Ohio.  She was very active within the church.  Lanella’s faith in her Lord was her life and her world.  She not only loved her Lord but her family as well. Lanella loved her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren very dearly.  She will truly be missed by her family and friends.

Lanella was preceded in death by her parents; her husband: Billy J. Murray; her son: Roger Fox; her sister: Juanita King; her two brothers: Glen and Clyde Marshall; her son-in-law: Paul Byrd and her brother-in-law: Larry Orcena.

Those who will cherish her memories include her son: Randy (David Faccenda) Fox of Caledonia, Ohio; her daughter: Karen Byrd of Galion, Ohio; her sister: Lowana Orcena of Marion, Ohio; her daughter-in-law: Debbie Fox of Missouri; her grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; and her several nieces and nephews.

Family and friends may come to honor Lanella’s life on Friday, August 26, 2022 from 11am to 1pm at the Boyd Funeral Home.  A funeral service will follow starting at 1pm at the funeral home.  A burial will follow the funeral service at the Marion Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be given in her memory to the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America, 322 8th Avenue, 16th Floor, New York, NY 10001.
