Thomas LeRoy Miracle


Thomas “Tom” LeRoy Miracle, age 85 of Caledonia, Ohio passed away Sunday, January 21st at Marion General Hospital. Tom was born February 17, 1938 in Holiday Cove, WV as the son of the late Emmett and Lillian (Sherer) Miracle. Tom married Martha “Marty” Mulvaine on their front porch in Caledonia July 10th, 1993 and she survives him at home.

Tom was a 1956 graduate of Caledonia High School. Tom retired from Marion Correctional after 20 years where he was a corrections officer.  He remained active with other jobs and was working at Marion Logistics up until last year before getting sick.

Tom loved softball and was still pitching at age 80. He loved being outdoors working in his yard and working with his hands. Tom was a big sports fan. He enjoyed watching OSU basketball, the Cleveland Indians, Michigan Football and the Browns.

Tom was an animal lover and dearly loved his cats; especially Z Cat, Toby and Siri. Most of all, Tom loved his family. Tom is survived by his children; Missy (David) Meddings Mandy (Frank) Stroud, and Liz (Leon) Clay, grandchildren; Molly, Mak, Hope, Spencer, Sydney “Cindy”, Jon, Cody, Steven, Kyle and Josh; nine great grandchildren, brothers; Ed (Jeri) and Bill (Trudy) Miracle; sisters; Joan Snyder, Mary Lou Burkhardt and Charlene (Steve) Black. Tom was preceded in death by his daughter; Laura Moore, grandson; DJ, great grand daughter; Sutton, brothers; Eugene and Donald Miracle and sister Marlene Kerschner.

A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, February 4th from 2-5 at Sunny Acres, 4600 Harding Hwy. E., Caledonia, Ohio. Please feel free to wear Michigan Football, Cleveland Indians and OSU basketball attire. All our welcome.
