Hugh Harold Ries
1952 - 2018
Hugh H. Ries age 65 of Alger, OH passed away on Sunday February 11, 2018 at his residence.
He was born on July 24, 1952 in Kenton. On August 8, 1976 Hugh married Hilma Robinson and she survives. He is
survived by 1 grandson and 2 great grandchildren. Hugh was preceded in death by
his son Seth Ries.
Hugh was a graduate of Kenton High School and a Veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He was a local business owner
formerly owning the Eastcrest Dari Freeze and the Fill'in Station. Hugh was a
farmer and worked at the Marion Correctional Institute early in life. He
retired from Durez Corp. in Kenton after working there for 25 years.
He was a member of the
Goshen Grange, the Indian Lake Moose Lodge #452, the Kenton Elks Lodge #157,
the Ada American Legion Post #0185, and the Kenton Amvets Post #1994.
A Memorial Service to
Celebrate the Life of Hugh H. Ries will be held by the family at a later date.
Schindewolf Stout Crates Funeral Home is assisting the family with
arrangements. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations in Hugh's memory
be made to the Hardin Co. Humane Society, the Goshen Grange Scholarship Fund,
and/or the donors choice.
