MARION: Harold Lewis Cook, age 85 of Marion, passed away on February 4, 2016 at Grady Memorial Hospital in Delaware.
Harold was born on April 10, 1930 in Marion, the son of William H. and Pearl M. (Calbert) Cook. He graduated from Harding High School. Harold worked at Tecumseh Products, Rockwell International, MCCI and NCCI, retiring in 1999.
Harold proudly served his country during the Korean War, serving in the United States Army.
In his spare time, he enjoyed repairing cars, lawn mowers and preparing tax returns. He was also a lifetime member of Fairpark Baptist Church.
Harold is survived by his children: Shawn (Justin) Millhouse and Eva (William) Taylor; grandchildren: Tiffany Cratty, Erika Millhouse, Richelle Millhouse, Matthew Smith and Christopher Smith; great grandchildren: Kayson, Xavier and Holden; siblings: Betty Edler of Marion, Billie Joe (Ray) Gregory of Jackson, MI, Dorthea Brewer of Newark, OH and Cara Sue Green of Marion.
He is preceded in death by his parents; his wives: Lois Mae (Smith) Cook and Gloria J. (Penyak) Cook; brother Richard Cook.
Visitation will be Wednesday, February 10, 2016 at Denzer-Farison-Hottinger & Snyder Funeral Home, 360 East Center St., Marion from 12Noon to 1PM; Funeral services will follow at 1PM; Burial will be at Chapel Heights Memory Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the funeral home to assist the family in honoring Harold's celebration of life.
